Koi fish in the summer sun

There are a number of animals you can and will wander across when you visit Three Ponds.  First and probably my favorite are the Koi Fish.  With over 100 in the upper pond, there are so many colors and sizes that it is hard to take in all at once.  Many of the Koi have been growing here for over ten years.

Inevitably, you will also encounter swans at Three Ponds.  Most of the time they are lazy and dosile.  But for a couple of months out of the year (late winter/early spring) they get grumpy.  Nesting time!  They trumpet, flap their huge wings, wrap their necks, and stomp around the property to show off for their potential mates.

Fresh new faces every spring!!!

They don't seem to notice that there are an even number of females to males and that they're bound to lay eggs and hatch the little ones each spring....even without the theatrics.

I also can't forget to mention Karen's prize winning Cavalier Spaniels.

Cricket the Pomeranian romps in the snow.  Her yap is far worse than her bite.
